almost exactly halfway between between Florence and Sienna.

How to get to Casa al Monte di Sopra

From Bologna Airport to the motorway exit of "Impruneta"

From Bologna airport, exit following signs for "Autostrada A1" in the direction Firenze and Roma. Follow the motorway for about 106 km until your start to go around Firenze and then take the exit named "Impruneta". Exit the A1 motorway at Firenze "Impruneta" and at the roundabout take the second right for Greve in Chianti.

From Pisa to the motorway exit of "Impruneta"

From Pisa take the Superstrada FI-PI-LI Livorno-Firenze. As you approach Firenze, at "Firenze Scandicci" start to follow the green signs for the A1 Bologna Roma Autostrada (motorway) del Sole. Take the motorway heading South in the direction of Roma. Exit the A1 motorway at Firenze "Impruneta" and at the roundabout take the second right for Greve in Chianti.

From Florence Airport to the motorway exit of "Impruneta"

From Florence airport exit and turn right. Follow the green signs for the Autostrada del Sole A1. After approximately 4-5 km, you will see a petrol station on the right hand side. Here you also have the exit to follow for the A1. Take that road and keeping following the directions for Roma. Follow the A1 around Firenze and after about 15 km exit the A1 motorway at Firenze "Impruneta" and at the roundabout take the second right for Greve in Chianti.

From Roma to motorway exit of Valdarno

From Roma follow the GRA (Grande Raccordo Anulare) and follow the directions to the Autostrada A1 "Firenze Bologna". Once on the A1 in the direction of Firenze, exit after about 250 km at "Valdarno".

From the Impruneta motorway exit to Casa al Monte di Sopra

Exit the Autostrada A1 at Firenze "Impruneta" and at the roundabout take the second right for Greve in Chianti. After about 5-6 km, you will find a road slightly to the left with a signpost for Greve. Pass through Greve follwing tjhe signposts for Panzano (another 10 minutes). Once at Panzano, drive slowly through the village in the direction of Castellina in Chianti. Go past a small square on your right and a bar and shops on your left, go straight on for about 300-400 yards until on your left there is a turning that goes uphill with sign "Cennatoio". Follow this road until you get to the top of the hill and, at the T junction, turn right. After a couple of hundred metres the road becomes a gravel road. Continue bearing to the left until you see the sign "Casa al Monte", follow the directions and you will soon be at the Villa.

From the exit of Valdarno to to Casa al Monte di Sopra

Once you have left the motorway, follow the signs for "Montevarchi" and "Gaiola in Chianti" until you are on the road named "SS 408". Follow the signs for "Radda in Chianti". Continue and pass the small village of "La Villa" and then follow signs for "Lucarelli" and "Greve in Chianti". Continue heading for "Greve in Chianti" on the road named "SR 222". As you reach the outskirts the village of "Panzano", you will find, on your right hand side, a turning that goes uphill marked with the sign "Cennatoio". Follow this road until you get to the top of the hill and, at the T junction, turn right. After a couple of hundred metres the road becomes a gravel road. Continue bearing to the left until you see the sign "Casa al Monte", follow the directions and you will soon be at the Villa.
